Our commitment

As the local Church of Scotland in our area, we aim to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of all people using our church, especially our children and adults at risk. We have a safeguarding team with an overall coordinator and a coordinator in each place of worship.

Safe recruitment

All leaders and staff who work with children or adults at risk are required to register with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and follow the required Church of Scotland process before they can undertake any role with groups or individuals within our churches.

Raising a concern

If you are worried about a child or an adult at risk, please speak to one of our safeguarding coordinators. You can also contact the Church of Scotland Safeguarding Service directly:

If someone is in immediate danger, or a crime has been committed, call Police Scotland on 999, or 101 if it is not an emergency.
